Not sure what you mean by "How is that?". This post isn't talking about the rights and wrongs of the situation, simply how technology is being utilised.

Thank you for taking the time to comment though.

How is that?
Facts.
Among protesters were military trained young men,
throwing stones at police officers and trying to PROVOKE
shooting. The number of police officers killed is not known.
Those police officers are 18-20 years old graduates of Kishinev
Police Academy. A lot there killed, many wounded.
Who is taking responsibility for their blood?
Is it a crime now, to protect an order in country?
Is it a crime, not to start shooting, even if you are provoked?
By Moldavian Low if government and/or Parliament buildings are attacked, police required to start the fire.
They didn't. The kids who were wearing police forms didn't
want to kill kids, who were protesting.
They got wounded and killed.
Who is taking responsibility? Who is claiming to be a hero, knowing, that they won't shoot, and killing them?
If these kids claim to be the men, are they men enough to come
to mothers of killed police officers, look them in the eye and
say:
- I AM THE HERO, WHO KILLED YOUR SON. TO BAD HE DIDN'T SHOOT ME
FIRST.

Absolutely, I contend the amout of money myself, but if it was in his contract then is it really fair to bend the law to take it back after the fact? Good points about unequal societies. Personally I feel every society is unequal, largely due to human nature.

Thanks again for your comments.

A fair point. However, somebody did "elect" (hire) Sir Fred Goodwin for the role, a role that is filled normally through selection by the RBS board, all of whom represent the company and it's shareholders. Therefore, isn't it fair to say that there is shared blame to be distributed here? Is it not just a little injust to simply reprimand one figurehead by bending the law to do so? What about those in charge at the various other banks and companies that have received Government bail-out?

Maybe I wasn't clear before but in no way am I condoning Sir Fred Goodwin's actions or the figure he will receive, I am simply stating that if the matter is to be dealt with fairly, then people need to look closer at what "fair", in this situation, really is. The post was simply meant to generate discussion and provide a view from the other side of the coin.

Your correct about Rosemary Byrne, mislabelled the year, meant to put 2007.

Thanks for the link too, some interesting stuff there and thanks also for sharing your views.

The above link shows the expenses by Party... the unionists (i.e. the parties that were until recently Sir Fred's best friends) are costing us more.

Hang on didn't Rosemary Byrne get booted out in May 2007 election? How could she claim for 2008?

Secondly having once eaten in the MSPs dinning room myself (woooo) I can say the portions are so small they arent worth more than £1.50. The other BIG difference is that Sir Fred isn't elected or accountable to ANY taxpayer at any time and is still going to swan off with millions of what is effectively taxpayers money... Not exactly the same league as £1.50 lunches.
